Origin PC EON13-S A 13-Inch Full HD High Performance Laptop with Haswell and Kepler

Gaming Laptops are usually heavy and bulky. But since the advancement of microtechnology, manufacturers are trying to slim and trim down those bulky casings, at the same time making their gaming laptop more powerful than ever. Just recently, Origin PC released a new member of their award-winning EON laptop for gaming, the Origin PC EON13-S. The EON13-S is a 13-inch customizable gaming notebook, powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Core i7 Haswell processor, paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M Kepler Graphics card. Check out its features, specifications and price below.

Origin PC EON13-S Features and Specifications

Origin PC’s EON13-S gaming notebook is powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Core i7 Quad-Core Haswell processor, and you can choose from i7-4700MQ, i7-4800MQ, i7-4900MQ or even an Intel Extreme Core i7-4930MX. You can pair it with a memory size from 4GB up to 16GB with clock speeds of 1333MHz or 1600MHz. The number one benefactors of the new Haswell processors are mobile devices like laptops and Ultrabooks since they offer an increase in performance at the same time consumes less power, thus longer battery life.

The Origin PC EON13-S sports a nice 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display at 1920×1080 resolution with a matte finish or anti-glare feature. The display is powered by an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M Kepler graphics processor with 2GB of GDDR5 memory and Optimus technology, making sure that you can play even the latest PC games to date. You can play Crysis 3 on this but not on all max settings though.

Considering that this is a gaming notebook, most of us would expect that it weighs a ton. But the Origin PC EON13-S has a lightweight design, weighing around 4.4lbs only. The keyboard is backlit, making sure you can enjoy gaming sessions both in well-lit and low-light situations.

The Origin PC EON13-S has also lots of storage options. It has one standard SATA port where you can install a 320GB to 1TB mechanical HDD or a 128GB up to 960GB SSD. There are also two mSATA ports, where you can install additional mSATA based SSD that can be configured as an OS drive, cache drive, or additional storage drive. Both the mSATA can be configured in either RAID 0 or RAID 1 mode.

You can also include Create Sound Blaster sound card for better audio, WiFi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n with Bluetooth 4.0 (Intel Pro Wireless AC 7260 or Killer Wireless N1202). And for those who are Windows-8 haters, rejoice because you can choose from a Windows 7 or 8 64bit operating system. In fact Windows 7 is the default OS.

There are more customization options for you to choose from. Just check them out at their respective manufacturer’s site.
