MSI GS30 Shadow Features
The MSI GS30 Shadow is the world’s first gaming notebook to have a docking station for a dedicated desktop-class graphics card. The GS30 SHADOW-001 is powered with an Intel Core i7-4870HQ Quad-Core Haswell processor paired with 16GB of DDR3L RAM. The notebook itself doesn’t have a discrete graphics processor, like a GTX 980M or 970M. But it has the Intel Irish Pro 5200 Graphics which is integrated with the processor. The real gaming muscle power is coming from the Gaming Dock
Moving on, it has two 128GB SSD that is configured to run in RAID 0 mode, resulting in a combined 256GB capacity and a much faster speed. It also features some of MSI’s exclusive XSplit Gamecaster for easily recording gaming moments, broadcasting and sharing live gameplay sessions to YouTube, Twitch, UStream, and more. It also has Killer E2200 Game Networking and the Gaming Dock with a PCI-e x16 dock connecting port and an extra HDD storage support.
Check out the rest of its features from the specifications table below and be sure to watch the video review below to have a full idea of what the MSI GS30 Shadow is all about and its gaming performance.

Price and Availability
The MSI GS30 Shadow-001 13.3-inch Gaming Notebook with GS30 Gaming Dock is now available. It currently has a retail price of $1,899.99 here and comes with a limited 2-year warranty (includes a 1-year global warranty). The Gaming Dock doesn’t include a graphics card yet. You will have to purchase an MSI GTX 980, MSI GTX 970, or an MSI GTX 960. I don’t think graphics cards from other brands will work with the GS30 Gaming Dock.
