On the outside, the Lenovo Y50 features a new stylish design that is not too aggressive but enough to make your eyes look at it. It has a nice 15.6-inch Full HD display (1920×1080 native resolution) with an anti-glare finish. The Y50 is available in both Touch and Non-Touch display.
The Lenovo Y50 is built with JBL designed stereo speakers and subwoofer with Dolby Advanced audio for a better audio experience. It also comes with an integrated 720p HD webcam and dual digital array microphone, perfect for chatting. Its keyboard is backlit for low-light conditions and features Lenovo’s popular AccuType keyboard design
Under the hood, the Lenovo Y50 is powered by a powerful 4th Gen. Intel Core i7-4700HQ quad-core Haswell processor. Another variant of the Y50 comes with an Intel Core i7-4710HQ, but the performance difference is not that significant or noticeable in real life. The powerful processor is paired with the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M Maxwell discrete processor with up to 4GB VRAM memory. The Y50 supports up to 16GB of DDR3L memory.
When it comes to storage, the Lenovo Y50 can be installed with up to 1TB HDD with integrated 8GB Hybrid SSHD NAND flash, or up to 512GB SSD for maximum speed. It also features WiFi Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 3160 with Bluetooth 4.0 and a number of I/O ports.
