The new Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook 3rd Gen is now powered with the latest 5th Gen Intel Core Broadwell processor, and uses PCI-E based SSD which are faster than your typical SATA based SSD.
It also features a slimmer and lighter profile making it much more portable and easier to carry around. 3rd Gen Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook Features
The 3rd generation ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook features a thin, light, and durable carbon-fiber body. It features an ultra-slim profile measuring only 0.70-inch thin. It’s also lightweight starting at 2.87 lbs. This makes the new X1 Carbon very easy to carry around. The company has also upgraded its display, now featuring a QHD display with an anti-glare feature. It’s a 14-inch display, but you can choose from 1920×1080 full HD resolution or 2560×1440 WQHD+ touch or non-touch variant.
Under the hood, the new 3rd Gen ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook is powered by the latest 5th Generation Intel Core Broadwell processor, up to Intel Core i7-5600U. Graphics processing is powered by Intel HD Graphics 5500 and the CPU is paired with up to 8GB DDR3L memory. Another great feature found in this Ultrabook is its storage. It features up to 512GB PCI-E-based SSD which is significantly faster than a hard drive, and also faster than your typical SATA based SSD. It features a 6-row backlit keyboard, 720p camera, and digital dual array microphone certified for Microsoft Lync. When it comes to connectivity options, the new 3rd gen ThinkPad X1 Carbon doesn’t fall short. It features Intel 7265 AC with Bluetooth 4.0. It also has a native Ethernet Connector, a couple of USB 3.0 ports, HDMI, mini DisplayPort, headphone and mic combo and OneLink Dock port.
