Lenovo ThinkPad T450s Features
The Lenovo ThinkPad T450s is a great Ultrabook for business individuals or creative professionals. It’s one of the best selling ThinkPad in North America.
The T450s is basically a 14-inch Ultrabook powered with the latest 5th Gen Intel Broadwell processor, ranging from Core i5 to Core i7. The CPU is paired with a DDR3L memory of up to 12GB in capacity.
It doesn’t have a discrete graphics processor, instead, graphics processing is handled by the integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500.
As for storage options, the ThinkPad T450s has lots of options to choose from. You can get a 500GB or 1TB hard drive either in 5400RPM or 7200PRM or better yet, get a much faster Solid State Drive at the expense of capacity.
If you really need the capacity, I would recommend you get a 7200RPM instead. The 5400RPM is slow and it would drag the whole system down.
If you want everything to be smooth and enjoy fast loading speed, better get an SSD for storage instead.
Just get an external hard drive if you need more storage space. The 14-inch display can be configured from HD+ to Full HD (touch or non-touch) display.
The Lenovo ThinkPad T450s also features the company’s award-winning keyboard. It has a full-sized and spill-resistant keyboard and its keys offer a good amount of feedback making it much comfortable to type with.
Let’s not forget the TrackPoint pointing device which is very handy as well.
When it comes to battery life, it offers up to 17 hours with the internal 3-cell battery plus the hot-swappable 6-cell rear battery. Expect that you only get a few hours of usage when relying on the internal 3-cell battery only.
When it comes to connectivity options, the Lenovo ThinkPad T450s also doesn’t come short as well. On the left-hand side of the T450s, you see the charging port, two USB 3.0 ports, and a Mini Display Port.
On the opposite side, you see another USB 3.0 port, a LAN port, DVI out, headphone/mic combo port, an integrated Smartcard reader, a 4-in-1 SD card reader, and a fingerprint reader which is located just beside the arrow keys.
It also features Wireless LAN with a/g/n or a/c + Bluetooth 4.0 and an optional WWAN, HSPA+21M support. This can all be configured from the order page of the T450s.
