The Lenovo LaVie Z 360 Ultrabook is one of the company’s latest Ultrabooks and is the lightest 13.3-inch notebook currently available in the market. The LaVie Z 360 is actually the convertible version of the Lavie Z Ultrabook. This means that you can flip the screen of the LaVie Z 360 and turn it into a tablet. This one is a tad heavier compared to the non-convertible one.
This is because the 360 is using a different type of hinge that enables it to flip the screen to a 360-degree angle. Check out more of its features, specs, price, and specifications below. Sometimes (or oftentimes) Lenovo US is also giving away eCoupons that give you a certain amount of discount when you purchase from their store. So be sure to check that below as well. You might be lucky at the time you visited this page, perhaps an eCoupon is available for the LaVie Z 360.
Lenovo LaVie Z 360 – Lightest 13.3″ 2-in-1 Convertible Ultrabook
The Lenovo LaVie Z 360 is a 13.3-inch 2-in-1 convertible Ultrabook and it is the current world’s lightest in the market. It weighs starting at 2.04 lbs and was achieved using an ultra-light metal called Magnesium-Lithium for its body or chassis. Aside from being ultra-light, this convertible Ultrabook is also very thin, with only 0.67″ thin at its highest point.
The 13.3-inch display in the Lenovo LaVie Z 360 features IGZO panel display and has a WQHD touch panel at 2560×1440. The display in this notebook is really good at the same time power efficient as well considering that it uses IGZO technology. Under its hood, it is powered by the latest 5th Generation Intel Core i7-5500U Broadwell processor clocked at 2.40GHz. The CPU is paired with an 8GB LPDDR3 memory and the display is handled by its integrated Intel HD Graphics 5500. Meanwhile, storage is up to 256GB SSD.
The Lenovo LaVie Z 360 also comes with enough wired and wireless connectivity options to get you going. For starters, it has WiFi 802.11 a/c with Bluetooth 4.0 like most of the mobile devices nowadays. It also has two USB 3.0 ports, an HDMI port, an SD card reader, and a combo headphone and a mic port.
Thanks to the power-efficient Intel Broadwell processor and the IGZO panel that they used, battery life is not sacrificed in the LaVie Z 360. The battery is capable of up to 7 hours of usage or up to 9 hours of video playback. Of course, battery life still heavily depends on your activity and the number of devices you connect with the Ultrabook.
UPDATE: By the way, you might have probably heard that the LaVie Z 360 got some issues concerning the display. The LaVie Z 360 is a 2-in-1 convertible and it is only intended to use in laptop or tablet mode. It was never designed to work in a tent or stand mode, unlike the Lenovo Flex or Yoga series. When you try to use the LaVie Z 360 in stand or tent mode, the screen doesn’t auto rotate and the keys don’t deactivate. Only in tablet mode will the screen have auto-rotate function and the keyboard deactivated.
2 x USB 3.0, 1x HDMI-out, SD card reader, Combo Headphone and 1 x mic
