Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S with Intel Core i5-4210Y Haswell Now Available

Lenovo has been constantly updating and upgrading its Ultrabook lineup powered by Ivy Bridge processors to the latest 4th generation Intel Haswell processors for the past few months. One of the best Haswell powered Ultrabook they have is the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 2 Pro, and now Lenovo has refreshed their other popular lineup, specifically the Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S, now powered with an Intel Haswell processor.

It is not much different from the Ivy Bridge powered Yoga 11S to the new IdeaPad Yoga 11S Haswell model, except for the processor of course. But the Haswell processor offers longer battery life since its more power-efficient, and a tad increase in the performance. The specific model available right now is powered by a 4th generation Intel Core i5-4210Y Haswell processor with 3MB L3 cache and clock speeds of 1.4GHz up to 1.9GHz via Turbo Boost. The processor is paired with 4GB of DDR3L memory and the storage is handled by a 128GB solid-state drive. The SSD helps in the fast and smooth desktop operation as well as in the fast boot-up and wake up time.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S Haswell features an 11.6-inch IPS high-definition widescreen 10-point capacitive multi-touch display at 1366×768 resolution. And like its predecessor, the display can also be flip 360 degrees converting the Yoga 11S Haswell into a tablet. The Yoga series has been one of the most successful 2-in-1 convertible Ultrabooks in the market thanks to the flip and fold design. There is no discrete graphics processor built into this Haswell Ultrabook, instead, graphics is handled by an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4200 that comes with the Core i5-4210Y Haswell processor.

The Lenovo IdeaPad Yoga 11S Haswell is built with a decent amount of connectivity options, both wired and wireless, as well as input devices. It features a built-in webcam with 720p resolution, a 2-in-1 digital media reader, 1x USB 2.0 port and 1x USB 3.0 port, and an HDMI port. For its wireless connectivity, the Yoga 11S Haswell features a built-in high-speed WiFi 802.11 b/g/n with Bluetooth 4.0.

There are included software packages in the IdeaPad Yoga 11S Haswell, aside from the Windows 8 64-bit operating system. You get apps like Evernote, YouCam, Nitro Pro, a Microsoft Office 2013 30-day trial, and more. This convertible Ultrabook weighs around 3 lbs. and is just 0.7-inch thin.
