The HP Omen 15 is the company’s first gaming notebook that is geared primarily for mobile gamers and professional users as well. The new HP Omen 15 is a 15-inch gaming notebook, featuring an aluminum body making it lightweight, and also features a very unique design. It’s powered by the latest 4th Gen. Intel Haswell Core i7 Quad-Core processor paired with a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX graphics card.
It also features a nice Full HD touch screen display and a solid-state drive for a faster storage drive. There are programmable keys, similar to the ones you see on a gaming keyboard, and all keys are backlit with customization options. Check out the rest of its features, specifications, price, where to buy, and some reviews below.

HP Omen 15 Features
The HP Omen 15 Gaming Notebook is the company’s first real gaming notebook that is primarily designed for mobile professionals and (obviously) for mobile gamers as well. It is powered by an Intel Core i7-4710HQ Quad-Core Haswell processor clocked at 2.5GHz and with a Turbo clock speed of 3.5GHz. The processor is paired with 8GB of DDR3L RAM clocked at 1600MHz. For storage it has a 128GB SATA SSD or 256GB PCIe SSD or 512GB PCIe SSD depending on the model. The HP Omen 15-5010nr comes with a 256GB PCIe SSD.
For display, the HP Omen 15 features a nice 15.6-inch Radiance Full HD Infinity LED-backlit IPS touchscreen display with a full 1920×1080 display and a 16:9 aspect ratio. Its graphics processor is powered by a discrete NVIDIA GeForce GTX 860M with 2GB of VRAM (for the HP Omen 15-5010nr model). This means that this notebook is very much capable of playing modern-day games. I have embedded a video below for your reference.
The outside or the physical design of the HP Omen 15 looks very unique and attractive as well. It weighs around 4.68lbs and it’s just 19.9mm thin. The body is aluminum, except for the bottom ventilation portion. The speakers are located on both sides, front-facing. It has a large touchpad and the keyboard features a customizable RGB backlit with keystrokes designed for gaming.
The HP Omen 15 also features an HD web camera, a dual array Digital Microphones with beamforming, echo cancellation, noise suppression, and Support for Voice Recognition (Internet service required and not included). All ports are located on the rear portion. It has 4x USB 3.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2, HDMI 1.4b, headphone out and mic in combo, and the AC smart pin adapter plug. It also has a multi-format digital media card reader, 802.11ac WiFi, and Ethernet port (via an HP USB Ethernet adapter).
I’m sure words alone are not enough to describe and demonstrate HP’s new gaming notebook. So after the specifications table below, there are full and detailed review videos of the HP Omen 15 for your reference.

Price and Where to Buy
The HP Omen 15-5010nr is now available and comes with a retail price of $1,599. But you can get it for a lower price here. The box includes the following: HP USB Ethernet Adapter, AC Adapter, and Lithium-ion Polymer Battery. You also get 24×7 toll-free technical and limited software support assistance via online chat or phone, 90-days limited software technical support (from date of purchase), and a limited 1-year warranty. Although not required, I would suggest you get an additional 2 or 3 year drop and spills warranty. It helps a lot especially after the 1-year warranty expires.
