GIGABYTE P27K Features

The Gigabyte P27K runs on Windows 8 (Pro) operating system offering significant improvement in speed, security and reliability. Many of you might not want a Windows 8 OS, and you can fully install a Windows 7 OS instead. The P27K doesn’t have a touch screen display anyway, so the touch features of Windows 8 is pretty much useless.

The Gigabyte P27K features a 17.3-inch Full HD LCD Display at 1920×1080 with the anti-glare feature, the best configuration for gaming purposes. Like its slim brother P35K, the 27K is also powered by a 4th gen Intel Haswell Core i7-4700HQ Quad-Core processor with clock speeds of 2.4GHz to 3.4GHz, and an integrated Intel HD Graphics 4600. However, graphics processing is handled by the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M discrete graphics processor when it’s time to play some games or run some graphics-intensive applications. The GTX 765M has 2GB GDDR5 dedicated memory and supports NVIDIA Optimus, NVIDIA PhysX, and DirectX11 Technology.

The Gigabyte P27K gaming laptop has 1x mSATA that supports up to 256GB SSD and 2x SATA slots for two 1TB HDD. It also has built-in 3 DIMM memory slots that are expandable up to 24GB of DDR3L SDRAM. It also features the same Electroluminescence backlit keyboard that the P35K has. The backlit keyboard features an automatic light sensing that adjusts the light to external conditions.

Although the Gigabyte P27K is not a slim gaming laptop, it features an eye-catching orange and black color combination and a stylish design. Based on the specifications above, clearly the Gigabyte P27K is a direct competitor of other gaming laptops, like the Asus G750, MSI GE70, and Toshiba Qosmio X75.
