Eurocom has recently made available its fastest laptop powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Core i7 Haswell processor paired with, also the latest, a dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M mobile GPU – the Eurocom Scorpius 2.0 Mobile Workstation. Features and Specifications
The Eurocom Scorpius 2.0 is an ultra high performance, fully customization, and upgradeable laptop designed to offer the utmost in performance and capability. Under its hood, the Scorpius 2.0 is powered by the latest Intel Core i7-4930MX Haswell Processor Extreme Edition. It’s a quad-core processor with 8 threads, 8MB cache, clocked at 3GHz, and has a Max Turbo Frequency of 3.9GHz. The CPU also features a built-in Intel HD Graphics 4600 clock at 1.35Ghz. But Eurocom is not satisfied with a built-in graphics processor alone.
The Eurocom Scorpius 2.0 has a 17.3-inch display, powered by, not one, but two NVIDIA GeForce GTX 780M mobile graphics card in SLI configuration, offering users of up to 8GB DDR5 video memory, 3072 CUDA cores, 256 TMUs, and 64 ROPs. This makes this laptop not only good for heavy multitasking processes, but also for serious gaming as well.
Users can also install up to 32GB of DDR3 1600 memory via four sockets. This makes the Scorpius 2.0 a great tool for high-performance computing, and for 64-bit operating systems as well. It can also support up to 5 storage drives, including two mSATA SSD drives.
The Eurocom Scorpius 2.0 is also built with sufficient connectivity options and can allow users to connect the laptop to an external display for video streaming or gaming. Some of its connectivity options include Thunderbolt, HDMI 1.4a, S/PDIF, SATA, USB 2.0, and USB 3.0. Yes, it’s not a typo, this laptop is built with Thunderbolt port giving you the ability to connect the Scorpius 2.0 to 3K or 4K super-high-resolution displays, or other high throughput storage devices. It also has a full-sized keyboard with a numeric keypad, and the keys have backlit illuminated.
