The new Asus ROG G750, aside from having the latest GTX 800M discrete graphics processor, also features Asus’ proprietary TurboMaster GPU-overclocking technology giving it desktop-like performance. Basically, there is little difference compared to the previous generation of G750’s, except for the new discrete graphics processor. So the main improvement to be seen here is its gaming performance. Below are graphs showing the performance difference of the new GTX 800M series compared to their respective predecessors.

Asus ROG G750JZ, G750JS, and G750JM Specifications

Currently, there are three models available for (pre) order. They are the Asus ROG G750JM-DS71, G750JS-DS71, and G750JZ-DS71.

The Asus G750JM-DS71 seems to be the base model. It is powered by an Intel Core i7-4700HQ quad-core Haswell processor clocked at 2.4GHz (with 3.4GHz Turbo speed). The processor is paired with a 12GB DDR3 RAM, 1TB 7200RPM hard drive, and a GeForce GTX 860M with 2GB dedicated memory as its discrete graphics processor.

Meanwhile, the Asus G750JS-DS71 is powered with the same Intel Core i7-4700HQ but comes with a higher 16GB DDR3 memory. Aside from the 1TB hard drive, it also comes with a 256GB SSD storage which is significantly faster than your typical hard drive. Its graphics are powered by a GeForce GTX 870M with 3GB dedicated memory. This model is faster than the G750JM, and most mobile gamers would prefer to have this one.

Last, and opposite of the least, is the Asus G750JZ-DS71 which is also powered with an Intel Core i7-4700HQ. But this time, it comes with a huge 24GB DDR3 memory and 2x 128GB SSD storage in RAID 0 mode, aside from the 1TB 7200 RPM hard drive. Two 120GB SSD in RAID 0 mode is definitely faster than a single 256GB solid-state drive. Aside from that, it is powered by a GTX 880M discrete graphics processor, with 4GB dedicated memory. One advantage of the GTX 880M over the 870M and 860M is that it overclocks better compared to the two. This makes the Asus G750JZ-DS71 variant the fastest gaming laptop amongst the three.
