Acer C720-2800 Chromebook (Intel Haswell) Now Available – See Specs, Price, Review and Where to Buy
Acer has also released their 3rd generation Chromebook, powered with the latest 4th generation dual-core Intel Celeron Haswell processor – the Acer C720-2800 Chromebook. Just like the HP Chromebook 11, the Acer C720 has the same functions and capabilities, but this one is powered by a different processor, has an anti-reflective display, a plain Granite Gray finish, and is $30 cheaper than HP’s Chromebook 11. Check out more details below, as well as where you can buy one, and be sure to watch the Acer C720 review video below.

UPDATE: I managed to add a full Acer Chromebook C720 review below. Be sure to watch it.
Despite the plain and simple design that the Acer C720-2800 Chromebook has, it’s faster and probably has a longer battery life, thanks to the Intel Celeron 2955U Haswell processor that is powering this Chromebook. The processor is paired with a 4GB of RAM and a 16GB of SSD for its storage. There is also an integrated Intel HD Graphics that comes with a 128MB of dedicated memory to smoothen things, especially when you are watching HD movies or doing any activity that has something to do with graphics.
The Acer C720 Chromebook doesn’t have an IPS display, but the 11.6-inch LED-backlit display comes with an anti-glare feature, so that you can still use this Chromebook outside in the sunlight without having difficulty viewing the screen. This is also 30% lighter compared to its predecessors, making it easier to carry around.
The Acer C720 Chromebook has only 16GB of SSD storage. Nowadays, 16GB is pretty small, not mention 16GB is not the actual usable storage, definitely lesser. It’s better to put your other data, music, videos (especially HD videos), and other large data files on an external hard drive, like the WD My Passport Ultra.
You can also extend your display on a larger screen via the HDMI port. I would suggest you also get the Google Chromecast HDMI Streaming Media Player, which lets you easily stream music, video, YouTube even Netflix, and more, to an external display with HDMI port, such as an HDTV wirelessly via WiFi. Check out the rest of the specifications below, and also watch the mini-review of the Acer Chromebook C720.

The Acer C720-2800 Chromebook is now available for a much affordable price tag of only $249.99. Currently the Samsung Chromebook is the number one selling notebook. But just a couple of days after the Acer C720 were listed online; it’s already within the top 5 best-selling notebooks. It will only be a matter of time before Acer’s Haswell-powered Chromebook will replace the old Samsung Chromebook on its position.
