The Killer Networking adapter provides serious gamers with an outstanding online gaming experience with lower latency (ping). 1. T L says:

    Hi,

Can you explain this a bit better, or provide a source? I’m not seeing two SSDs being listed anywhere, nor the reference to the Super RAID storage. Is this an upgrade option or part of the default model?

“The GS60 Ghost also features MSI’s exclusive Super RAID storage with two SSDs with M.2 interface, kicking up access speeds from 950 MB/s to more than 1000 MB/s – two times faster than high performance single SSD notebooks produced by other brands, and more than 10 times faster than conventional laptops packing hard drives with 7200 RPM. Hi TL, basically when you use a RAID configuration, in this case RAID 0, you need at least two storage drives for this to work. You can’t do RAID if you only have 1 storage drive. They don’t specifically mention that any more since it is understood that when you say RAID, it involves two drives (at least). If the specs say the gaming laptop has 128GB RAID storage, there are actually two 64GB configured in RAID 0 resulting in a single 128GB logical drive. 256GB = 2x 128GB and so on… I have attached a video below for your reference. Although this is not the GS70, it’s actually the MSI GT70 but it also uses Super RAID 2. Skip to scene 2:21 and you’ll see that the GT70 model he is using is actually using three mSATA SSDs in Super RAID 2. Sorry the video is not in English.

Below is a screenshot of the performance difference between Super RAID 1 and 2.
