Lenovo will be releasing two new Ideapad Ultrabooks powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Haswell processors. These are the Lenovo Ideapad U430 – a 14-inch model, and the Lenovo Ideapad U330, the 13-inch model. Both models will feature a touch screen display, hybrid hard drive with flash memory, and decent amount of memory. The Lenovo Ideapad U330 Ultrabook is the 13.3-inch model of the series, powered by the latest 4th generation Intel Core i5-4200U processor clocked at 1.60GHz with turbo boost of 2.60GHz(or Core i3-4010U), with 500GB Hyrbid Hard Drive including a 16GB of flash memory for caching, a large 8GB of RAM and will be running on Windows 8 to take advantage of its touch capabilities.
Meanwhile, its 14-inch brother, the Lenovo Ideapad U430 Ultrabook, gets to have the better specifications. The Ideapad U430 is powered by an Intel Core i5-4200U Intel Haswell processor (with Core i7 option), paired with a NVIDIA GeForce G730M discrete graphics card, a 500GB Hybrid Hard Drive, 8GB of RAM, and will also be running on Windows 8 operating system.
Both the Lenovo Ideapad U330 and U430 will have a screen resolution of 1366×768. They also share a similar input output ports such as a USB 3.0 port, 2x USB 2.0., HDMI, and SD card reader. The Ideapad U330 weighs around 1.70Kg, while the Ideapad U430 weighs around 1.89Kg.
The Lenovo Ideapad U430 and Ideapad U330 are not listed yet on Lenovo’s US site. But there are already available in European countries. The Ideapad U430 has a starting price of 799 Euros, while the Ideapad U330 starts at 699 Euros.
