The CyberPowerPC Zeus Hercules is a customizable gaming notebook with a nice 14-inch Full HD display at 1920×1080, with built in 1 megapixel web camera. Like I said earlier, it is powered by an Intel Core i7-4750HQ Haswell mobile processor with 6MB Smart cache and clock speeds of 2GHz up to 3.20GHz via Turbo Boost. It doesn’t have have a discrete graphics processor like most full pledge gaming notebook out there. Instead, graphics processing is handled by the Intel Iris Pro Graphics 5200 integrated into with the Haswell processor.

Its motherboard has a mobile Intel HM87 Express chipset, and the processor is paired with an 8GB DDR3 1600MHz memory (4GB x2) (by default), and can be upgraded up to 16GB. The CyberPowerPC Zeus Hercules offers two storage slots, one is for HDD or SSD via the standard SATA port, while the other one is for SSD via an mSATA interface.

The CyberPowerPC Zeus Hercules is built with a WiFi 802.11 b/g/n WiFi +Bluetooth card and can be upgraded to an Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6235, Ultimate-N 6300 or Killer Wireless-N 1202 for a better wireless connectivity. As for its I/O ports, it has a 6-in-1 card reader slot, an HDMI port, Mini DisplayPort, 3x USB3.0 ports, a headphone jack, microphone jack and an RJ-45 LAN port. The Zeus Hercules weighs 4.20lbs with a 6 cell Li-Ion 53.28Wh battery. It has a dimension of 13.39 x 9.96 x 0.83 inches. It’s slim, but a little bit heavy.

The CyberPowerPC Zeus Hercules price starts at $1,039 and comes with a pre-installed Windows 8 64-bit and a 1 year warranty. Since this is based on the Clevo W740SU, XoticPC is also offering the same gaming machine with their Sager NP2740 starting at $1,085.43.

Specs wise, the Zeus Hercules seems to be a good gaming notebook, but if you are a serious gamer who plays resource-demanding games, I’m not so sure if this gaming notebook is for you. You can’t add a discrete graphics card, which is very important when it comes to gaming. Although the Intel Iris Pro Graphics 5200 is a new technology, and is definitely better compared to the Intel HD Graphics 4000/4400 series integrated GPU, I’m not sure if it can handle heavy games at all.
