Asus Zenbook UX302 Reviewed – A Powerful Haswell Ultrabook with Gaming Capabilities

Published on October 11th, 2013 | by Peter Paul

The Asus Zenbook UX302 is one of the anticipated Ultrabooks from Asus, together with its brother the Asus Zenbook UX301. The UX301 and UX302 were previously known as the Asus Zenbook Infinity, and later were renamed. These Ultrabooks are powered with the latest 4th generation Intel Core Haswell processors, and features a super slim aluminum body, and a lid covered with a scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 3. According to Asus, the Zenbook UX301/UX302 will look the same when the time you bought it, until the time you won’t be using it anymore (thanks to the Gorilla Glass surface). Of course that depends on how careful you are when using this Ultrabook. Definitely the glass and even the Ultrabook might get damaged when you accidentally drop it. Today let’s take a look at the Asus Zenbook UX302LG review. This Ultrabook is not available on the market yet (as of to date) but it is expected to be released very soon.

Price and Availability / Release Date

Asus hasn’t officially released prices for the new Asus Zenbook UX302 and UX301 lineup. But it is expected that this would be a pricy Ultrabook, considering the specs and features built into this laptop. The price of the UX302 might start from $1,200 USD up to $1,700 USD depending on the configuration and hardware installed. There is no specific release date as well. But we expect to see the Zenbook UX302 and UX301 soon (UX301LA now available see update above), by November or December, on popular online stores and retailers.

UPDATE: It seems that the Zenbook UX302 is hard to come by nowadays. Instead it is being replaced by the Zenbook UX303. Check out the following models: ZenBook UX303LN-DB71T and ZenBook UX303LA-DB51T.

FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, someone PLEASE comment on the battery life of the 302LG already.

    • Peter Paul says:

      Hi Hans!

Ultrabooks like this usually last around 5 to 6 hours depending on your use. Since it’s powered by Haswell and uses SSD instead of HDD for storage, it won’t be consuming to much power compared to regular laptops and ultrabooks / slim notebooks. If you really run this unit on super low activity, with CPU speeds set to minimum and power settings to low, you might last for up to 7 to 8 hours.

  2. Lorenna says:

Someone PLEASE tell me where I can buy it. I can’t find it anywhere!! Why is it so difficult?!
